ABOUT REIKI

WHAT IS REIKI?
Reiki is a gentle healing practice that works with the body’s energy to support balance and wellbeing.
The word Reiki combines two concepts — “rei” meaning universal or spiritual, and “ki” meaning life energy. It’s a holistic approach that nurtures the body, mind, and spirit to help you feel more centred and at ease.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A REIKI SESSION?
A Reiki session is a relaxing, restorative experience. You’ll lie comfortably on a massage table, fully clothed, while gentle hand placements are used to encourage the flow of energy through your body.
Sometimes, crystals may be used during the session.
Some people feel warmth, tingling, or waves of calm; others simply rest deeply. Every session is unique, depending on what your body and energy most need that day.

WHAT CAN REIKI HELP WITH?
Reiki can support many aspects of wellbeing — from easing stress and anxiety to improving sleep, emotional balance, and overall vitality.
It’s often used as a complement to other therapeutic or medical treatments, helping the nervous system settle and the body’s natural healing processes to unfold.

WHAT IF I DON'T BELIEVE IN REIKI
You don't have to believe in it for Reiki to be beneficial. The practice supports relaxation and regulation through gentle, calming touch and presence.
Even if you view it as a mindful rest or meditative experience, most people leave feeling lighter and more grounded.

HOW MANY SESSIONS DO I NEED?
This is completely up to you. Some need only one session, while others find ongoing sessions help them maintain balance and resilience over time.
